I currently manage the group responsible for all Microsoft Windows based servers, environments, and applications. We manage the project lifecycle including requirement gathering->design->presentation to management-> implementation->deployment->documentation->management and troubleshooting. I also manage the relationships between the other technology groups, business units, and our selves. As the liaison I keep a close relationship with regular discussions on current and upcoming projects, open issues, and general communication.
Current primary environment responsibilities include but not limited to:
Application deployment via Microsoft App-V (previously known as Softricity Softgrid). With over 2000 applications sequenced we successfully maintain a standard bare bone desktop and/or server build without needing to make changes.
Remote and internal access via Citrix (Metaframe / XenApp and XenDesktop). We manage and maintain a 24x7 environment for over 1000 concurrent domestic, internation, and offshore users at all times. The Virtual Desktop environment profiles and policies are managed via AppSense Personalization and Environment Manager.
Microsoft Windows Server, Desktop Images, Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management, MS SQL Server, IIS etc.
Business Systems environments such as Business Objects XI, SAS, and many other custom application environments.
